Psalm 108

Could it be?
Is it true?
Is this what love looks like?

Is love submitting to a slap in the face?
Is it standing innocent yet on trial?
Is it the scourge applied to the back?
Is it a forced march to a hill?
Is it nails through wrists and feet?
Is it cries from a cross?
Is it death in a tomb for three days?

Yes, this is true love.
Through pain, misery and death
can true love be found.
There is no love truer
than yours, my Savior.
Proved through death,
yet more, through life,
a resurrection made a promise,
sealing me in the Spirit.

"This is love: not that we loved God,
but that he loved us
and sent his Son
as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
1 John 4:10

"
Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
John 15:13

Psalm 96

My God is holy.
My God is just.
My God is love.

Holiness means He is wholly other.
Justice means He is fair and punishes evil.
Love means He seeks to draw us close to Him.

Love does not negate His holiness.
Love does not negate His justice.
Love must contain both holiness and justice.

For love does not delight in evil.
Love champions the powerless.
Love calls for absolute justice to be done.

My God is holy.
My God is just.
My God is love.

Psalm 68

I praise you, my Lord,
for your patience
and your everlasting love.
I praise you for your compassion,
for your heart that calls to us.
We hear our shepherd's voice
and we run to answer.
O Lord, you who longs to gather us
as a mother hen gathers her chicks,
you are the one whose wings
are steady, stable, a comfort.

Give us pause;
let us rest in your presence
and know that your heart of love
is unstoppable, unconditional, eternal,
a love no man can thwart,
no enemy can conquer.

I sit at your feet, my Lord,
I take your hand
as you draw me in.
In awe, I know I am held close
by the God of the universe.
He sees me, He knows me,
I am His and He will never leave me.

God, my God, my Lord!
To you alone I give my soul and my life
for I know you are trustworthy.
Your love is my guiding light,
clarity in the darkness.
I will walk in your path,
I will follow as you lead,
for I trust your love alone.

Psalm 21

How precious are the children of the Lord!
The Lord gives His love to them unconditionally;
He seeks their good at all times.
The Lord guides their ways;
He watches over their steps.
What people are more cared for than the Lord's?
He is a shepherd, guarding them against wolves.
He is a captain, steering through their storms.
He is a general, fighting for their cause.
The Lord's lovingkindness reaches higher than the skies.
Praise the Lord, you His children!
Praise the Father for His care!

Psalm 15

The love of the Lord is eternal.
He gives it to His children freely
and extravagantly.
The Lord takes joy as He lavishes
His lovingkindness on His followers.

Praise to the love of the Lord!
The Lord seeks a relationship,
a relationship of intimacy,
a relationship rooted in love.
The Lord pursues His beloved,
pursues them to the ends of the earth.

Praise to the love of the Lord!
It is given unconditionally;
it is a gift waiting to be claimed.
O Man, accept the Lord's gift.
Take fellowship with the Lord
as it is offered before you!

Praise to the love of the Lord!
Through His love we find peace;
through His love we find forgiveness.
Let the Lord's love rule your life.
Open your heart to God's truth
and let your true Father reign!

The love of the Lord is eternal.
He gives it with an open hand.
Let all men seek the Lord
and experience divine favor.
Praise to the love of the Lord!

Psalm 1

Hear our prayer, O God!
Bring healing to our daughter.
You alone are the Great Healer.
You alone bring the balm of healing.

May your hands move
through the hands of men.
May your wisdom be found
in the minds of men.
Be the guide to those
whose skill comes from you.

We pray for a miracle,
for your intervention,
for a change wrought
only through you.

We thank you for your care,
for the care you show to man:
your compassion, your love.
We know you hear us.
Without you, we would despair.
Praise be to Him whose eye is on man!
