Psalm 86

Lord, heal me of this sickness.
Give me stamina where there is none.
Strengthen my body, O Healer of Men.
Let deep rest comfort me at night
and a revitalized body greet me in the morning.

to sustain me.

Thank you, Lord, for blessed rest.
As you spoke softly to Elijah,
as you moved him to sleep,
so you have rejuvenated me.
Thank you for how you designed us,
how you made our bodies to function.
Thank you that you nourish us through rest,
through a time of tranquil peace.
May your peace rest on me,
may your serenity sustain me.

Rejuvenate my soul, O Lord,
revitalize my body.
Give me precious rest,
peace and contentment from you.
May I learn to quiet in your sight
and listen for your still voice.

Lord, you give rest to the weary;
you watch over me at night.
As the moon shines her light on the earth,
so you shine on us even in sleep.
You command our worries to cease,
and silence our problems in repose.
Give me peace on my bed, O Lord.
Let my dreams speak of joy in you.
Revive my body and soul
through the quiet of night
that I may face a new day
