You speak to me, Lord,
I hear your voice.
Your words flow from the Word;
the Savior draws me in.
You move my mind,
you direct my path.
With you I am safe,
with you I am free.
I love you, my God.
You draw back the veil
and let me see your face.

Lord Jesus, you have made me free.
You have brought me peace and rest.
You do not snuff out a smoldering wick;
You do not break a bruised reed.
You proclaim you are with us always;
we have never been abandoned.
May I look to you, to your ways,
to your heart, to your instruction.
May they be my guide
as I navigate this life.

Freedom is a gift from the Lord--
We must cherish it.
Do not become arrogant,
you who live in a wealthy nation.
Do not look down on your neighbors;
do not become prideful.
Watch out that you remember
to whom you owe your blessings.
Your status is not the work of your hands,
all gifts come from the Lord of Creation.
Share what you have been given.
May other nations call you blessed
and praise God when you give.
Do not hold back your mercy,
no, reflect the Lord's compassion.
Declare the Lord's truth
as you feed the hungry
and clothe the widow and orphan.
Produce fruit that proclaims
you know the value of freedom.

The grace of the Lord is precious.
The Lord's unconditional love
expresses the truth of His grace.
The Lord pardons those who fail
through His own sacrifice.
Without the Lord, I would despair,
a sinner lost in my sin,
with no hope of freedom.
Praise to the One who frees me!
He has opened the door for me,
the door of liberty, to live holy.
What can I do but respond,
respond with a desire to serve?
Yes, I will serve my savior.
I must use this freedom freely given
wisely and with responsibility.
Guide me, O Spirit, so that my life
is lived well, a life pursuing and expressing
the love I have for my Savior God.
